ABOUT OUR GROUP
Nyange Cultural Performers is a Uganda based, multi-cultural group of artists and dancers established in 2011 by Namiyonga Sarah Tendo as a vehicle to educate, preserve and present a group of talented youth with the objective of providing employment and education to the performers but while promoting culture and advocacy in communities. This creates a nurturing environment that encourages cross cultural exchange and celebrates versatility.
Through endless on-going research thirst, the group continues to adapt aspects of multi-faceted culture, aesthetics and values that are paramount to its presence in society. This fusion of contemporary, modern and cultural dance reflects the evolution of creativity,
movement and spirit.
Nyange encourages innovative approaches and promotes collaboration between artists, dances and cultures. In an effort to expand the boundaries of art we offer concerts, classes, residences, and open workshops, interactive programs with audience participation, master classes, lecture demonstrations and outdoor performances. Its extensive education outreach program elicits open dialogue between children, artists and audiences to celebrate the differences of diverse backgrounds. A Few for mention are;
