This dance originates from the Ankole region the land of milk, an occasional dance performed by both men and women demonstrating their love for the cattle. The hands posture of the women demonstrates the long beautiful horned cattle thus making the dance aerial. The singing in this dance imitates the sound made by the cows, the (omukuri) flute played during the dance performance is the same as the one used to herd the cattle.
